1-800-670-2368 info@towelhub.com 5700 Drake Drive S.W., Atlanta, GA 30336 Or send a messageWhat sizes are your bleach proof hand towels?
Two sizes: 16x28 bleach resistant hand towels, a heavier full-terry towel at 3.4 lb per dozen (about 445 GSM), and 16x26 salon towels at 2.8 lb per dozen (about 394 GSM). Both are the standard sizes hair salons and barbershops use as salon towels.
Which hand towel is best for a hair salon?
Most hair salons choose the 16x28 Bleach Shield® hand towel in black or charcoal: heavy enough to wrap hair, dark enough to hide color, and VAT dyed so bleach and developer never fade it. Barbershops and nail salons often prefer the lighter, faster-drying 16x26.
Can I wash black salon towels with bleach?
Yes. Black and charcoal Bleach Shield® towels are the salon favorite because they hide hair color and are safe to wash with bleach and cold water, or in hot water, without fading or bleach spots.
Are these bulk hand towels absorbent?
Yes. Both sizes are 100% ring-spun cotton full terry with loops on both sides, which absorbs faster than the flat-weave or blended towels often sold as cheap salon towels. The 16x28 is the thicker of the two.
How many hand towels does a salon need?
A common rule is 6-8 towels per stylist per day, times the number of days between laundry runs. Most salons start with 3-5 dozen 16x28 towels per chair and reorder by the dozen as they go.
What colors do wholesale hand towels come in?
Black, charcoal, navy, purple, hunter green, burgundy, wine and dark brown, with one dozen minimum per color. Mix colors in one order to color-code stations or services.
Will hair color and developer stain bleach resistant hand towels?
Hair color can leave a mark on any towel, but on VAT-dyed dark towels it is far less visible and it washes out with bleach without harming the towel's own color. That is the point of using bleach proof hand towels in a color salon.
Why do my current salon towels turn orange?
Reactive-dyed towels lose their dye when bleach breaks the chemical bond, leaving orange or pink patches. Bleach Shield® towels are VAT dyed, a process that sets insoluble pigment inside the cotton, so bleach cannot strip it.
How long do Bleach Shield® hand towels last?
Customers report their Bleach Shield® towels outlasting regular salon towels several times over. Heavy ring-spun cotton, a tuck-in selvedge that resists fraying and color that does not fade mean towels are retired for wear, not for looks.
What is the minimum order for wholesale salon towels?
Bleach Shield® towels are sold by the dozen, with a minimum of one dozen per color. There are no multicolor packs, but you can mix as many colors as you like in one order and quantity discounts apply across the order.
How fast do bulk towel orders ship?
In-stock orders ship the same or next business day from our warehouse in Atlanta, GA and usually arrive within 2-6 business days anywhere in the U.S. Checkout is on TowelHub.com, our wholesale store.
Can I get a sample before ordering towels in bulk?
Yes. Request a sample and we will send one for a nominal fee (from $10, which covers shipping). It is the easiest way to check the weight, color and softness of Bleach Shield® towels before a large order.
What is the return policy on bulk towels?
Report any concern within 48 hours of delivery. Unused towels can be returned within 14 days of purchase with a 15% restocking fee; return shipping is paid by the customer. The full policy is on our refund policy page.
How do I wash bleach resistant salon towels?
Wash Bleach Shield® towels in hot water, or with bleach and cold water. Skip fabric softener (it coats the cotton and reduces absorbency) and tumble dry on medium. The VAT-dyed color holds through daily salon laundry.
Do Bleach Shield® towels shrink?
Like all 100% cotton terry, they tighten slightly after the first wash, which is why they are cut generously. Wash and dry them once before the first use to fluff the loops and remove lint.
