The 16x28 is two inches longer and noticeably heavier (3.4 lb vs 2.8 lb per dozen). Choose 16x28 for hair salons that want a plush towel; choose 16x26 for barbershops, nail salons and gyms that want a lighter, faster-drying towel.

No. VAT dyeing sets the pigment inside the cotton, so hair color, peroxide and bleach wash out without taking the towel's color with them.

They are finished with a tuck-in selvedge, the edge finish used on commercial towels, which resists fraying through daily hot washes far better than a plain hem.

Bleach Shield® towels are sold by the dozen, with a minimum of one dozen per color. There are no multicolor packs, but you can mix as many colors as you like in one order and quantity discounts apply across the order.

Wash Bleach Shield® towels in hot water, or with bleach and cold water. Skip fabric softener (it coats the cotton and reduces absorbency) and tumble dry on medium. The VAT-dyed color holds through daily salon laundry.

Like all 100% cotton terry, they tighten slightly after the first wash, which is why they are cut generously. Wash and dry them once before the first use to fluff the loops and remove lint.
